The forests and swamps of Qual have long been used as a dumping ground for heretics, ne'er-do-wells, and other undesirables, by both Man and Elf. Consequently, the ancestry of natives can be tricky to pin down. Almost all have some degree of both elven and human blood, often from multiple cultures. In some cases more exotic beings may be found there - witches who made pacts with demons, bestial guardians of the night, flesh eating shapeshifters, or throwbacks to ancient races and cultures, no longer seen elsewhere. As a result, no two Qualish look alike, and any number of skin, hair, and eye colors are possible, as are mutations such as hands with too many fingers, vestigial horns or tails, or the like.

  • Ability Score Increase: Two ability scores of your choice each increase by 1.
  • Age: Mixed ancestry tends to make aging unpredictable, as does the unstable society, but few live beyond 50 or so.
  • Size: Qualish vary wildly in height and build, from barely 4 feet to well over 6 feet tall. Regardless, your size is Medium.
  • Speed: Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
  • Languages: You can read, write, and speak Tradespeech, and one other language of your choice.
  • Skills: You gain proficiency in one skill of your choice.
  • Feat: You gain one feat of your choice.
